Gingernut biscuits

Ingredients

  • 110 grams normal flour
  • 1 heaped ts baking powder
  • 1 level ts baking soda
  • 4 heaped ts ginger powder
  • 40 grams brown sugar

  • 50 grams butter (in cubes at room temperature)
  • 50 grams golden syrup

Preparation

  • Add in the butter and mix until fine and crumbly
  • Mix the first 5 ingredients in a bowl
  • Add in the syrup and mix well
  • Prepare a baking tray with baking paper
  • Divide the dough in 16 equal parts
  • Shape each part into a ball, place on baking tray
  • Flatten each ball into a cookie

Baking

  • Preheat the oven to 160 Celsius
  • Bake the cookies during 15 minutes
